Course Details


Undergraduate curriculum

  • The department believes in inculcating sincerity, efficiency and dedication among the students. It  provides  updated  knowledge  and assists the students to hone necessary skills  to carry out appropriate pediatric dental practice.
  • The UG training programme in the subject is conducted during the third and final year which includes two months of clinical posting.
  • The training begins with bench courses to learn fundamental skills and later progresses to the actual treatment of child patients. The students are trained to diagnose and plan treatment of infants, children and adolescents. They also perform various preventive, restorative, minor orthodontic and surgical procedures.
  • The department undertakes various school dental health programmes from which the undergraduates derive large benefits by way of exposure to problems that ail youngsters.
  • The UGs are encouraged to undertake projects and seminars which help their overall academic growth.
