HOD's Message
As the Head of Department and a proud Orthodontist I extend our warm welcome to the postgraduate students and wish them luck for their new endeavour.
It is a privilege to be a part of Department of Orthodontics in the esteemed institute of DSI. We take great pride in our reputation for the quality of our programs and graduates. Our department promotes active co-operative learning environment. It is designed and equipped abiding by not only RGUHS but also international standards and is a recognised Ph.D Research center. Our academy of high calibre teachers and promising young faculty impart an in-depth understanding of clinical expertise. Their outstanding credentials are matched by their passion for their profession. You will gain skill and confidence through our excellent experiential learning opportunities and hands-on clinical experiences facilitated by our faculty. We also have students across India and overseas seeking our department for post-graduation. This has been possible due to the whole hearted support of our management.
Our PGs have bagged the top 10 ranks in MDS examination at RGUHS level. Our PG students, Dr. Debasis Das and Dr. Yogita Gupta have bagged gold medal in MDS examination 2016 and 2019 respectively at RGUHS level. Their efforts have been awarded in various paper presentations, poster presentations, table clinics. We also promote participation in extra-curricular activities as we believe in complete development of our students.
Hardwork, passion, good planning are the keys to success. With ordinary talent and extraordinary perseverance, all things are attainable. Hope these elements help you set a benchmark for the next generation of Orthodontists.
